Do you ever have conversations with yourself, or more rather parts of yourself? Like recently (the past couple of weeks) I have had "conversations" with my face that went something like this:
Dear face, do you not realize that I am a good solid 21 now? I am no longer a teenager and would desperately appreciate it if you got on board. I don't know why you are acting up, you have done really well adjusting out of this phase. Pimples aren't the most attractive thing on the planet, and don't you remember the airport lady? She didn't believe me when I said I was 21 and you, my friend, are not helping!
Anywho, just thought I'd share. (And yes, I suppose I really don't look my age because she was not the only one on this trip who questioned my age. Hopefully when I'm 50, people think the same thing :D )

Dilemma
So.... I have this dilemma. I only have a couple of pieces in my wardrobe that I find still cute. I think we have this terrible disease in my family that cute means new! haha Maybe not that direct, but there are certain clothes that loose their cuteness after a while. Most of my clothes are from high school. I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe. I'm torn between:
1) Save up and buy good-quality "staples" (i.e. Find my own 'little black dress,' knock out pair of jeans)
2) Buy accessories and other cheaper versions of updating my wardrobe.
My real dilemma is I need to figure out is what I want! I don't believe I have my own style. I did in high school--loved the empire waist flowing shirts. Those I still find cute, and I will probably keep them, I just need to form outfits with them.
I think I'm ok with having this process take a couple (probably many, many) years. I understand we don't have money, but right now I really need a good pair of jeans and some final touches on my professional attire for the conference this month. The latter is on my urgent list. I am going to be meeting lots of people that I need to make a good impression on. Yikes!
I used to think I didn't know what was cute anymore, but I do. I attend a university every day! Aren't we like in the age group of fashionable? So, I don't think I can pull it off. And I want my own style, not to just look like everybody else. I really LOVE 1940s/1950s/and some 1960s (as you can see from this post). I have been desperately looking at websites and blogs to figure out what I like, what I think I can pull off, and what I think I can afford. Bah! So, maybe I'll update you all with my findings and ask for you opinions? That is if anybody reads this and posts comments! ;)

Our Song
Beware: The quotation mark. I have them all over the place!
When Steven and I were dating, I wanted "our song" and couldn't find one. I really just love "So Close" from Enchanted anyway. Secretly, I deemed this "our song."
Today, I heard a familiar song that made me smile. I feel that Steven and I don't have many "big moments," but we still love each other. It's because we have our "little moments."
P.S. I LOVE THE OLD COUPLE!!!!!! So cute
Little Moments by Brad Paisley
Well I'll never forget the first time that I heard
That pretty mouth say that dirty word
And I can't even remember now what she backed my truck into
But she covered her mouth and her face got red
And she just looked so darn cute
That I couldn't even act like I was mad
Yeah I live for little moments like that
Well that's just like last year on my birthday
She lost all track of time and burnt the cake
And every smoke detector in the house was goin' off
And she was just about to cry until I took her in my arms
And I tried not to let her see me laugh
Yeah I live for little moments like that
I know she's not perfect but she tries so hard for me
And I thank god that she isn't 'cause how boring would that be
It's the little imperfections it's the sudden change in plans
When she misreads the directions and we're lost but holdin' hands
Yeah I live for little moments like that
When she's layin' on my shoulder on the sofa in the dark
And about the time she falls asleep so does my right arm
And I want so bad to move it 'cause it's tinglin' and it's numb
But she looks so much like and angel that I don't wanna wake her up
Yeah I live for little moments
When she steals my heart again and doesn't even know it
Yeah I live for little moments like that
http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/paisley-brad/little-moments-2116.html
I highlighted my favorite parts. I LOVE the last one I highlighted. I have the best husband (for me**). I absolutely LOVE snuggling. When we sleep, I absolutely love when he lays his arm out, and I can put my head on his shoulder.
He always says something the next morning about his arm falling asleep and waking up from it. He's the best because he will still let me do it even though it hurts after a while. Now mind you, I try to be a good wife and fall asleep without imposing pain on my husband, but I've been spoiled by him and it's hard for me to sleep any other way. Seriously. I can't even take a good nap sometimes.
Anywho, I know you were just dying to hear snuggling stories. =P
**I say for me because I think we all think that as wives, and I know there are many good guys out there that make great husbands. So, I would be lying if I had the best because it is a matter of opinion. Is that weird to be "politically" correct on my own blog post? haha I don't know.

New fav song
So, one of my friends on facebook posted this song. I really like it. I don't think of anyone in particular that I would be "singing" this to, but I think this has been my attitude a lot of my life.
"All my life I've tried to make everybody happy, while I just hurt...and hide....waitin for someone to tell me that it's my turn to decide....Who cares if you disagree, you are NOT me, who made you KING OF ANYTHING?! So you dare to tell me who to be...who died and made you King of ANYTHING?! Let me hold your crown babe..."
P.S. I would say Let me hold MY crown babe because really we all have power in our decision that we make in our life.

Here's what's going on in my life:
- Steven started his internship
- I filled out my student teaching applications (not really knowing if I was able to work out my class schedule conflict)
- I had verbal affirmatives from two different teachers that I would be worked with, so I can graduate on time.
- Child Lab is off and going. It is making this semester go by A LOT faster. Seriously I still feel like we started 3 weeks ago.
- Soon, I will not have child lab on Fridays, and I can't wait to get out a little early.
- I am still working, but decided to start my internship during the break.
- Next semester starts on our 2 year anniversary--Wahoo?
- Still working
- My calling for church is going well. At least I think so. I have always been a teacher (except like "Mia maid counselor and such), so this is way out of my comfort zone.
- I haven't had much time to "develop my self." I just go, go, go and come home to hulu to numb my brain. Is that bad??? hahaha
- I feel like my house being clean has gone something like this /\_/\__/\\\\\\ (going down)____//// Use your imagination of how that's really supposed to look. One day I will have it looking decent consistently
- I have found some new blogs that I love. I don't have time to blog stock like I used to though. :(
I think that pretty much covers it. Sorry I can't blog more entertainingly (wow, that didn't turn up with a red squiggly line)
^^either did "squiggly" HAHA
I can't believe it's Thursday already.

What time is it?
I normally don't start checking my blogger and facebook at 6 am...but under these circumstances stuff happens! Ok, so last night after FHE, Steven and I watched some Royal Pains--a TV show. I was getting really tired (probably stressing all day about preschool which I teach music time today and lead teach on Thursday), so I wanted to go to bed. I just NEEDED my alarm to make sure I got up on time. I couldn't find my phone, so Steven grabbed his alarm clock from the front room. By the way, it was in the front room in the first place because he just LOVES listening to some AM radio station all day. Anywho, he sets the alarm and we go to bed. 6:15 rolls around, and I hit the snooze once or twice. 6:38 rolls around and I jump out of bed because I am cutting it close. I need to make sure I leave at 7:30 or maybe a little earlier. I keep checking the time while showering (you know on a cold morning it is all too easy to stay in a bit too long). P.S. When you glance,, don't you normally just look at the minute hand? It was time to get out. Right before blow drying my hair......I take a closer look.

It was ONLY 6:00!
Steven must have put the wrong hour in while resetting it up in the bedroom. Thank goodness it was an hour earlier than later!
I, to my surprise, stayed to blow dry my hair and even got dressed for the day ad stayed OUT of bed. Amazing, right? I do have to say I'm proud of me. Although getting up was an accident, I stayed awake.
P.S. I'm totally taking a nap today...It is truly insane to wake up at 5:30 and not do so. :)

Dreamers
Note: I am having issues with pictures on this post.... so sorry for the awkward readings!
Steven and I have concluded we are dreamers!!!
Why might you ask? Honestly, I think it's because we have been so frugal for a little too long. =P We are finally coming out admitting the things we would LOVE to have? Has anybody else experienced this?
First, Steven spent MANY hours this past week researching this:
It is a submersion oil cooled computer system. I am not into the technical stuff of this thing, but it looks pretty awesome. It helps the computer last longer because it does not over-heat, especially for overclocking. (Ask Steven if you want to know what that is.) AND it's quiet! Have you ever noticed just how loud a computer can be?
He is even hoping to make this and then make a home entertainment system including a TV or projector and sound system. The whole shebang is about $2000 (we're taking blue ray player, HD TV, and 8.1 surround sound). I don't know for sure, but I don't think that's too badly priced. This dream will probably come to reality in the first year of dental school.
Speaking of dental school, we have also discussed this past week or so of getting a pet! I am in heaven with just the idea. For all those who don't know, I LOVE animals. I have been dreaming of this (literally, I had one last night) and researching it. I researched the type of breeds and their typical behaviors, how much it would cost, and the benefits/cautions. We have a few breeds in mind:
Well, those are our current dreams (aka distractions and happy places)! We'll see which ones come true!
P.S. If you read all of this, brownie points for you!

Ragdoll
Bengal:
Birman:
Out of these, the ragdoll and birman have my top votes, along with bengal. The ragdoll and birman have pretty longer but most importantly it's non-matting!!!! I didn't even post all of the other options we are still considering.

There are many others, but I know I want a cat that likes to play, be active, loyal to owner, and sits in people's laps (and intelligent-request for Steven). I have a hard time picturing a cat that acts any differently than Pugsley or Wednesday. And they were two totally different cats. Most importantly, I think we will get one that just acts like this, no matter the breed. Oh, and they have to be attractive to Steven and me. No offense but the Cornish Rex has a great personality but:

They aren't the cutest things I have ever seen.
Lastly, we have been dreaming of a vacation. Not a break from school to visit family or something, but a REAL vacation. We are thinking of a couple different options:- NYC
- DisneyLand
- Roadtrip
- Cruise

- Steven hasn't been and--->>
need I say more? We could do see Broadway, visit the stores :D, Time Square, China Town, even the little things like hot dog from the street vendors. I was also thinking Washington DC.... we'll see
- Disney Land would be AWESOME #1 I've never been #2 Clean fun (which will be explained later) #3 Disney is the best!
- Road trip! I don't see this one being a real consideration because although Steven offered it as an
option, he HATES traveling in cars. I really want to do north the US--see Mt Rushmore, visit the HUGE mall with the roller coaster, see the Great Lakes, (increase my total states I've been to. I think it was over 30 (36?) by the time I was 10) etc. OR go visit my sister in WA just because I don't think I've ever been and we could go to Seattle. I hear it's beautiful! ORRRRRRRRR Go on a Church History road trip ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR go see family on the east like Matt and Rach.
- My personal favorite. :) Oh, where to go? I fell in love with cruises on our honeymoon. They are just SO relaxing and SOOO much fun! I don't know if this one is quite in our budget with airfare and such. And another downside is we didn't find too much in comedy and shows and such that was pleasant for us.

- I am adding another one. Visit my mom's blog and you'll know what I mean. It would be awesome to go see her!
Well, those are our current dreams (aka distractions and happy places)! We'll see which ones come true!
P.S. If you read all of this, brownie points for you!
