Dreamers

Note: I am having issues with pictures on this post.... so sorry for the awkward readings!

Steven and I have concluded we are dreamers!!!
Why might you ask? Honestly, I think it's because we have been so frugal for a little too long. =P We are finally coming out admitting the things we would LOVE to have? Has anybody else experienced this?

First, Steven spent MANY hours this past week researching this:
http://www.geekologie.com/2008/01/16/mineral-oil-computer.jpg
It is a submersion oil cooled computer system. I am not into the technical stuff of this thing, but it looks pretty awesome. It helps the computer last longer because it does not over-heat, especially for overclocking. (Ask Steven if you want to know what that is.) AND it's quiet! Have you ever noticed just how loud a computer can be?

He is even hoping to make this and then make a home entertainment system including a TV or projector and sound system. The whole shebang is about $2000 (we're taking blue ray player, HD TV, and 8.1 surround sound). I don't know for sure, but I don't think that's too badly priced. This dream will probably come to reality in the first year of dental school.

Speaking of dental school, we have also discussed this past week or so of getting a pet! I am in heaven with just the idea. For all those who don't know, I LOVE animals. I have been dreaming of this (literally, I had one last night) and researching it. I researched the type of breeds and their typical behaviors, how much it would cost, and the benefits/cautions. We have a few breeds in mind:

Ragdoll
Bengal:

Burmese: (I don't like the looks so much but the character is great)

Birman:

Out of these, the ragdoll and birman have my top votes, along with bengal. The ragdoll and birman have pretty longer but most importantly it's non-matting!!!!  I didn't even post all of the other options we are still considering.

There are many others, but I know I want a cat that likes to play, be active, loyal to owner, and sits in people's laps (and intelligent-request for Steven). I have a hard time picturing a cat that acts any differently than Pugsley or Wednesday. And they were two totally different cats. Most importantly, I think we will get one that just acts like this, no matter the breed. Oh, and they have to be attractive to Steven and me. No offense but the Cornish Rex has a great personality but:

They aren't the cutest things I have ever seen.
Lastly, we have been dreaming of a vacation. Not a break from school to visit family or something, but a REAL vacation. We are thinking of a couple different options:
  1. NYC
  2. DisneyLand
  3. Roadtrip
  4. Cruise
I won't bore you with details, but here's why we chose each one as a possible possibility(and of course pictures!!!):

  1. Steven hasn't been and--->>

need I say more? We could do see Broadway, visit the stores :D, Time Square, China Town, even the little things like hot dog from the street vendors. I was also thinking Washington DC.... we'll see

  2. Disney Land would be AWESOME #1 I've never been #2 Clean fun (which will be explained later) #3 Disney is the best!

  3. Road trip! I don't see this one being a real consideration because although Steven offered it as an
option, he HATES traveling in cars. I really want to do north the US--see Mt Rushmore, visit the HUGE mall with the roller coaster, see the Great Lakes, (increase my total states I've been to. I think it was over 30 (36?) by the time I was 10) etc. OR go visit my sister in WA just because I don't think I've ever been and we could go to Seattle. I hear it's beautiful! ORRRRRRRRR Go on a Church History road trip ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR go see family on the east like Matt and Rach.

  4. My personal favorite. :) Oh, where to go? I fell in love with cruises on our honeymoon. They are just SO relaxing and SOOO much fun! I don't know if this one is quite in our budget with airfare and such. And another downside is we didn't find too much in comedy and shows and such that was pleasant for us.

  5. I am adding another one. Visit my mom's blog and you'll know what I mean. It would be awesome to go see her!

Well, those are our current dreams (aka distractions and happy places)! We'll see which ones come true!

P.S. If you read all of this, brownie points for you!

  1. Brownie points for me, and I'd already talked about most of these with you! It's good to have dreams while we tackle the reality of day to day life.
