Plaid.
I am so sick of this stuff. I am so glad it's over!!! I turned in my plaid shirt this morning. I swear this could have counted for at least a full time job if I completed it in one or two weeks. I have even "threatened" my husband to wear it a lot because then it might make my time worth it. =P Seriously, I think a lot of my other classes have suffered because of this baby! I got behind like the 2nd day of class because I was NOT feeling well. It snowballed from there. I missed another day from not feeling well about 3 1/2 weeks later.
Did you realize it, too? I just said the 2nd day of class I got behind and what? We were still working on it 3 1/2 weeks later? Now, this might not be a shocker to you but let's think about it....
School starts January 5. We start working on it like right away. Today's date February 8. That's over a month. Next week is MIDTERMS. So do we only have one other project? No, we have:
- Tailored Pants
- Lined Skirt
- Knit Project
- Pieced Project
- Plus a billion samples
- Plackets
- Cuffs
- Yokes
- Collar Stands/Collars
- Pockets
- Of course, matching plaids (more complicated than it sounds)
- Men shirts
- Mock Flat Fell/Flat Fell Seams
- Buttons/Button Holes
- Front Bands
- Hand stitching
My point of this post is this shirt was labor intensive beyond belief and I am finally DONE. Yea! I will be posting pictures later (when it is graded, which I'm super nervous before because our teacher openly admits she's OCD..... oh golly gee).

You should go on project runway :)
ReplyDeleteYou're awesome
I'd die on that show! And I'd wait to say that until AFTER you see pictures of the actual. ;)
