Last semester in my HFED380 class, Connection to Education and Employment, we had goals of how to increase our professional development. To be honest, I wasn't really planning on much because I have always been planning on being a mom. That class opened my eyes to some other possibilities. I could be a member of AAFCS and receive the FCS (family and consumer sciences) journal. My brilliant idea was to make a blog where I could document things related to FCS I learn about and idealistically teach others. Heidi, a fellow colleague and friend, asked if this was it. So, no. I was thinking my post about grocery budgets could have been posted over on my other blog. I have not kept up with it since school has picked up this semester A LOT.
Can I mention how I would have never imagined myself where I am today in a million years, and I'm loving it?
Okay, I will.
5 years ago, not even 2 years ago would I have ever seen myself being married (let alone for 1 year and 5 months) and studying family and consumer sciences education. Considering Steven and I weren't even dating this time 2 years ago it's crazy. Has anybody else noticed a HUGE trend of marrying people from your hometown? :)
