Today, I left some of my homework to work on because I found it very Sunday appropriate. In my home and family management class (aka just management in general), we have an assignment to come up with a detailed 11 week plan for improving ourselves. I am interested to see what I come up with. :) So many ideas, I just need to pick one and move on with the assignment. It is kind of silly that I will be graded on such a thing. Don't people naturally try to improve themselves? Who is honestly content not striving to be the best they know how to be? So why be graded? Just for having it planned out ahead? I guess so....
Here are some different aspects I could focus on:
1) Health-there are many things in this area that I could improve. I am thinking about learning how to make sure I give my family all the food groups in their appropriate amounts.
2) Fitness-I could definitely hit the gym more. Not to get skinner-I'm actually starting to feel confident with myself (about time) but rather to have a healthier body, particularly the heart.
3)Spiritual-I could make goals to study certain things certain weeks from the scriptures and General Conference and so forth. Example: 1. Atonement 2. Miracles 3. Worthiness etc.
4)Character-Better my integrity, honesty, etc.
5)Family Bonds- make goals to improve my relationships with my siblings and parents.
6)Studies- make sure I get all assignments done and actually learn the stuff well enough to use and teach it.
7) Budget- I could make goals to be a better budgeter
8) Be a better friend
9) Share what I know to be true with my friends and family
There are so many things I could improve on, how can I honestly just pick one? But of course I will, just to make sure I get the grade. Not the best learning motivation but it works. Enjoy the holiday! Woohoo for 3 day weekends!!!!
