Fell in Love

I fell in love today. I could be sweet and say I do everyday because of Steven, but although it's true a little gushy for me. I fell in love with this:

That's right, the library! Not the campus library but the public library. I know the campus probably has the same books, but the feel of the public one is so much cooler. They have the sweetest ladies there to help you, and I love the fact that it rejuvenated my love for reading. I should have gotten a library card a lot sooner than my last semester. I think that YA books are cool, and I thought I liked reading them the most. But. After my search, I have discovered I love non-fiction. I'm glad I picked my major because I was drawn to the relationship, pregnancy (wish they had a baby name book, I love looking at baby names because Steven and I only agree on like one girl name. And no, I'm not pregnant.), children, cooking, time management, house organizing, and so on and so forth. I think I really like the idea of improving myself.

ALSO, the public library has DVDs.

FOR FREE!!!

I could go on my soap box and talk about how Steven and I don't really go to Redbox anymore because the movie selection has been lame. I'll be excited when some of the new summer ones finally come out.

I got Breakfast at Tiffany's (never seen) and Australia (never seen). I LOVE old movies. Actually rephrase. I just love OLD. I love old people, I love old movies, I love old etiquette/manners, I love old furniture, I love old clothes (so well made!), I love the style of a lot of their things. I'm talking like 60s and prior. I even love all the way back to 1700s. <3<3<3

One thing I am excited for is a book I got that I want to read with Steven- "Rediscovering Values: On Wall Street, Main Street, and Your Street" by Jim Wallis.
This brings on a confession. I think this is crucial to America. CRUCIAL. If everybody could just raise their personal values, I believe things could be a lot better. I need to, as well. I am so intrigued with my theory that I am looking for ways and ideas and executions to accomplish this. I want to raise awareness to at least my community on things like this. I don't have details, but it will be amazing. I could call it something like "One Family at a time."

Anywhooo, that's what I got out of my trip to the library, and I look forward to the day I have kids to take them there! So fun!

Funny Story: I walked up to the desk in the library and asked how to go about getting a card. "We need photo ID and verification of address. If you're under 18, you'll need parent's consent." So, I hand her my ID, clearly turned the way "Over 21." (PS Have you ever noticed that?) She then proceeds to tell me what I need to do. Then, bringing back the temp. code, she makes small talk and finds out I'm in college "Is it your first semester?"
"No. It's actually my last...." I must look really young. And I wonder if she noticed I'm married. I must move really fast to be married before my first semester. :)

  1. What an awesome love! I've finished two books since August 29th---The Help by Kathryn Stockett (fiction loosely based on the author's experience in Mississippi with black maids and their relationships with their white employers. There's a movie just out based on the book. I also read a new Deseret Book publication Women of Character---Profiles of 100 Prominent LDS Women. Both books reminded me of the strength of women who have courage. 909 pages for me in less than 2 weeks besides a lot of other things---you know they must be good! Glad you're reading. I like your spunk and determination to learn and grow. I love you.
