Don't you love it

Don't you love it when:

You clean for a good 6 hours and you still feel like you haven't made a dent? (We have been making some pretty big adjustments in our house: moving in winter clothes, packing summer away, putting up decorations (which means finding room for them and taking others down for the season), putting our newly bought food storage away where it can still be conveniently accessed, reorganizing our bookshelf that we bought about two months ago to replace the one I moved to the kitchen for more food/dishes space (I was so happy for the replacement that I just semi organized it), selling textbooks to get rid of that pile on our floor, making DI and selling tubs, and figuring where to put the sewing machine and supplies because Steven has recently taken over my desk for his DAT studying...).

You figure if you would have called the internet company a little sooner, you would indeed have the internet in time for midterms, but now it will be coming the day after you need it the most?

You feel like homework is going to swamp you this week, but you can't help but write a blog post?

You feel like you did the lousiest job in your calling at church because you may have put cleaning above reading the lesson before Sunday morning and terribly regretting it?

You have been anxiously waiting to get to decorating your cake for 3 days making baby steps each day, but not getting to the fun part? (P.S. Saturday I finally decided the supplies I wanted and bought them, Sunday I made the cakes but didn't have time after the marriage fireside to decorate, and now I have to wait until after school and homework (I will be disciplined, I will be disciplined, I will be disciplined....) to do the fun part)
P.S.S. You should check out my blog www.creationsbyabigail.blospot.com to see how all that turns out)

Basically, nothing goes as planned?

But seriously, don't you love when:

You make a baby smile?

You feel like you truly have shown your spouse how much you love them and you feel so loved by him/her?

You help a toddler learn about Jesus Christ and all of the great gospel principles, as simple as "I can say, 'I'm sorry.'"

You can feel uplifted by a church meeting?

You brighten a friend's day by doing something for them?

You realize that it doesn't matter all too much if the sink has dishes, the bed is not made, the clothes aren't put away, you didn't get the grade you wanted, you didn't quite get everything you wanted to done, as long as you know you've shown those around you that you love them  and you show faith in Christ by progressing as best as you can?

...It just kind of makes it all melt away.

  1. Way to go, Abby! Sounds like you're making great strides, and you did the most important things. That said, study hard for your mid-terms. I'll be praying for you.
